Musically Themed Liebig Cards – Part VI

September 2026

For our sixth display of Liebig cards, we feature six operas including Oberon, the duo-centenary of the first performance of which fell earlier this year.

As Jennie Bisset pointed out in her highly informative introduction to Liebig cards in Part I, these cards were published in German, Italian and French. Part II, also written by Jennie Bisset, includes six cards showing the actual stages of creating a Liebig card.  Part III includes an alphabet of female operatic roles. Part IV displays cards featuring both opera and general musical themes. Part V shows exclusively sets of cards for five operas.
